The HVAC Technician is responsible for the operation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air-conditioning systems within the facility. The role ensures all HVAC equipment and components function efficiently, safely, and reliably to maintain optimal indoor comfort and air quality. The technician will perform preventive and corrective maintenance, diagnose system faults, and support energy-saving initiatives in coordination with the facility management team.

Operate, inspect, and maintain all HVAC systems including chillers, AHUs, FCUs, exhaust fans, and ducting systems.

Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance according to schedules and manufacturer guidelines.

Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in HVAC systems and perform necessary repairs.

Check refrigerant levels, pressures, and system performance to ensure efficient operation.

Clean and replace filters, coils, belts, bearings, and other system components.

Support start-up, testing, and balancing of new HVAC installations.

Monitor BMS (Building Management System) alarms and respond promptly to issues.

Ensure all work complies with safety standards and environmental regulations.

Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment status, and spare parts used.

Coordinate with supervisors, electrical, and plumbing teams for integrated facility maintenance.
Qualifications:

Education: Technical diploma or certificate in HVAC, Refrigeration, or Mechanical Maintenance.

Experience: 3–5 years of experience in operation and maintenance of HVAC systems in facility management, commercial buildings, or similar environments.

Technical Skills:

Strong knowledge of chillers (air-cooled/water-cooled), pumps, AHUs, FCUs, and package units.

Familiarity with thermostats, VFDs, control systems, and BMS operations.

Skilled in troubleshooting, refrigerant charging, and preventive maintenance.

Ability to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics.
